Dean Larson, M.D. Ophthalmologist

Dean W. Larson, M.D. joined Community Eye Center as an
Oculoplastic surgeon in 2010. He completed his
undergraduate studies at the University of South Dakota and
continued his graduate work there, receiving his medical
degree.
Dr. Larson completed his Internship and Ophthalmology
Residency at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He
became the Director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory and
received two $26,000 research grants for his research. In
addition, he holds a patent for a Hand-Held Laser Control Unit.
He also has numerous publications to his credit in his study of
orbital tumors.
In the area of the eye, Dr. Larson specializes in reconstructive
surgery of the upper and lower eyelids, as well as surgery to
correct abnormalities impairing vision. He also offers
cosmetic eyelid surgery.
Dr. Larson is Board Certified and a member of the American
Board of Ophthalmology, American Academy of
Ophthalmology, Lee & Collier County Medical Society, and
the Florida Medical Association. He has served Lee, Hendry,
and Charlotte County patients for 20 years and performed over
12,000 successful eyelid surgeries.
