Community Eye Optical is inside Community Eye Center to continue providing excellence in the quality of patient care and eyewear needs for Community Eye Center patients.
Following your recent eye surgery your eyewear needs may have changed. Most patients find they have a reduced dependency on glasses. Upon receiving your prescription from your Doctor, we will be here to assist you in re-evaluating your visual needs. When it is time to get your glasses, we can better assist you in re-evaluating your visual needs if you bring to us the glasses you wore before having eye surgery.
At your request, we will donate to the Lions Club any unusable old spectacles.
When you have had cataract extraction surgery, Medicare will help you purchase a pair of eyeglasses. This includes a basic frame and lenses. Most secondary insurances will cover the 20% of Medicare’ s allowable amounts. We participate with Medicare and all medi- gap secondary insurances and will file these claims. For all others we collect the 20% in advance, and we will advise you on how to possibly be refunded by your secondary insurance. This benefit is offered by Medicare one time only after cataract extraction surgery and you may utilize it to suit your new eyewear needs.
