Holly McKay Burnette joined Community Eye Center
in 1995 after relocating from Connecticut.
She received her Associate of Arts degree in
Business with Summa Cum Laude honors from
Ashford University in Clinton, IA and is currently
nearing completion of her Bachelor of Arts in Health
Care Administration.
She became certified in 2003 as a Professional in
Human Resources through the Human Resource
Certification Institute. She held board positions with
The Charlotte County Society for Human Resource
Management (CCSHRM) including the position of
President in 2006. As President of CCSHRM she held
a board position with the HR Florida State Council
and received the HR Professional of the Year award
in Charlotte County in both 2004 and 2005.
She worked extensively with the Charlotte County
Chapter of The American Cancer Society as a board
member and worked on committees for the Relay for
Life. She led the Community Eye Center team to the
first ever silver status in fund raising for the Relay
for Life. She is a member of the National Society for
Human Resource Management and the American
Society of Ophthalmic Administrators.
