DESIGN
A DIFFERENT PATTERN FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL
Everyday life such as reading or using a computer exhibit individual visual behavioral patterns. These head/eye
movement combinations don't depend on prescription, age, or stage of presbyopia> They begin in childhood
and do not change as an adult.
TO OPTIMIZE A PROGRESSIVE ADDITION LENS (PAL) FOR THE INDIVIDUAL,
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO KNOW THE EYE/HEAD RATIO.
Eye Movers
Patients who move their eyes and keep their head still are called the Eye Movers.
The more eye movement, the more critical it becomes to maximize the width of vision fields
for optimum comfort.
Head Movers
Patients who tend to keep their eyes fixed and turn their head still are called Head Movers.
The more head movement, the more critical it becomes to minimize peripherical distortions.
THE VARILUX VISIONPRINT SYSTEM
Class II FDA approved medical device
Scans the wearer's eye and head movements without their spectacles in
natural conditions. Based on the patient's visual habits, H/E ratio is captured by the
VisionPrint System.
A stability coefficient is also recorded to measure the variation in the patient's
head/eye movement and ensure the accuracy of the reading.
Only Varilux Ipseo takes into account the results of these measurements
and factors them into the design of the lens, making each lens one-of-a-kind.
