John V. Brown II, CPP, PHR, MBA: 20+ years of varied HR
experience (Generalist to Director level) in mining,
manufacturing, healthcare, and the airline industry with
responsibilities that include organizational development, college
recruiting, training, safety, employee & labor relations, union
avoidance and human resource management. He has earned a
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA with
emphasis in Human Resource Management. Additionally, John
holds national certificates in Continuing Education Program
Planning, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest
Inventory assessments and his PHR.
Beyond his management and training background, John’s
academic experience includes District Director—Continuing
Education, Edison State College; Career Specialist for the Lee
and Charlotte County campuses of Edison State College. He held
an adjunct faculty position with National Louis University, where
he taught Leadership Development and Supervisory Behavior. He
continues to teach/facilitate a variety of seminars and
workshops.
Through his volunteer work in human resources, John was
selected as the Charlotte County HR professional of the year for
2003. He is past president and former board member of the
Charlotte County Society of Human Resource Management and
has served on the HR Florida State Council as the Gulf Coast
District Representative. Additionally he served as Chairperson of
the Board of Directors for the Workforce Council of Southwest
Florida. John continues to volunteer on as needed basis in the
Charlotte High School career preparation program.
