Polycarbonate is a material that is more impact
resistant than glass, conventional, or high index
plastic lenses. It is up to 10 times more
impact-resistant than standard plastic and retains
its strength. This extra margin of safety makes
polycarbonate lenses ideal for children or for
safety purposes (sports or safety goggles).
Polycarbonate lenses are 43% lighter than
standard plastic and lighter than other high-index
lenses, offering improved comfort. They are up to
25% thinner than standard plastic.
