Cleaning
Avoid wiping your lenses while they are dry unless it’s with an approved micro fiber
cleaning cloth. Wash off dust or grit using approved lens cleaner. Do not use Windex
or any ammonia-based products, as these products can have a negative effect on the
surface of the lens thus shortening its life. Use a specialized lens cleaner that is
designed to preserve the integrity of the surface of your lenses.
After spraying the lenses with the approved cleaner, dry them with a soft cotton towel,
never use a cloth that may have embedded dirt.
Storing
When not wearing your glasses, never rest them face down on their lenses. Keep
them in their protective case.
Be sure to store your glasses beyond the reach of young children or pets.
At night, make a habit of putting your eyewear in their case and placing them on a
nightstand rather than on a chair or couch. This will minimize the possibility that
someone will sit on them and will make them readily available if needed in the middle
of the night or handy first thing in the morning.
Wearing
Avoid resting your glasses on your head as this will weaken or crack the frames and
shorten the life of the adjustment.
Always put on or take off your glasses with both hands, grabbing the temples midway
on each side and sliding them backwards over your ears. This will help them keep
their adjustment longer.
Adjusting
Over time, your frames will need adjusting; this will allow for the most comfortable fit.
While many people like to think they can "adjust" their frame by themselves, it is
always a good idea to have an eye care professional adjust your glasses to ensure
the proper fit and comfort. It is recommended that you have your eyeglasses adjusted:
• 30 days after your initial purchase
• 6 months after your initial purchase
• Whenever you need an adjustment or repair
